Michigan Learnport:  Site provided to all Michigan educators wherein teachers can access free courses and professional resources such as DI NetTrekker.  Registration is free of charge for Michigan Educators. 

Michigan Legislature Updates:  The most up to date legislation activity in the State of Michigan. Include links to contact your representatives in both the State House and Senate.

Lead and Learn Center: The Lead and Learn Center is a professional development, publishing, and consulting organization that works with schools throughout the world to improve student achievement and educational equity. 

Learning Point:  Learning Point is a non-profit organization with a mission to deliver the knowledge, strategies, and results to help educators and policymakers make research-based decisions that produce sustained educational improvements.

Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory: NWREL is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to improving educational results by providing research-based products, technical assistance, and training to improve educational systems and learning. They work directly with educators in the field to develop and test research-based publications and strategies that improve learners' results.

School Matters:  School Matters is a service of Standard & Poor's which provides academic and demographic information regarding school districts across the nation.

ACT:  ACT is the national standardized test which is also utilized by the Michigan Department of Education as a portion of the Michigan Merit Exam.  Resources are provided for educators, parents and students including practice and sample tests.

ASSIST:  Investment in quality teachers yields high returns in student success. Michigan's State Board of Education members are pleased to make this ASSIST web site available to Michigan educators in support of the educational initiatives proposed in its Ensuring Excellent Educators Task Force report.

Center on Instruction:  Center on Instruction is "your gateway to a cutting-edge collection of scientifically based research and information on K-12 instruction in reading, math, science, special education, and English language learning. Part of the Comprehensive Center network, the Center on Instruction is one of five content centers serving as resources for the 16 regional U.S. Department of Education Comprehensive Centers. Explore the topic-based materials, syntheses of recent research, and exemplars of best practices."

Doing What Works:  "Doing What Works (DWW) is an exciting new website sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. DWW is dedicated to helping educators identify and make use of effective teaching practices."

Florida Center for Reading Research:  The Mission of the FCRR is: 1. To conduct basic research on reading, reading growth, reading assessment, and reading instruction that will contribute to the scientific knowledge of reading and benefit students in Florida and throughout the nation.  2. To disseminate information about research-based practices related to literacy instruction and assessment for children in pre-school through 12th grade.  3. To conduct applied research that will have an immediate impact on policy and practices related to literacy instruction in Florida.  4. To provide technical assistance to Florida's schools and to the State Department of Education for the improvement of literacy outcomes in students from pre-K through 12th grade.

FREEFederal Resources for Educational Excellence provides teaching and learning resources from federal agencies. 

Layered Curriculum:  Dr. Kathie Nunley provides professional development in regards to brain research and differentiated instruction.  This site provides not only access to resources for purchase but also free differentiated lessons that can immediately be utilized by educators in all grades and content areas.

NWEA:   Link to the Northwest Evaluation Association which is the standardized testing organization which provides CASD with the Measures of Academic Progress assessments.
